Accreditation of mass media to the Information Center of the CEC of Russia during elections of the President of the Russia Federation on 18 March 2018

From 12 February to 10 March 2018 the CEC of Russia accredits representatives of mass media for work in the Information Center of the CEC of Russia. The accreditation entitles representatives of mass media to attend the Information Center on 18 and 19 March 2018 according to its schedule.

On the Russian presidential election day, the Information Center of the CEC of Russia will provide real-time data about the voting progress, its preliminary results and also the information about the voter turn-out. Video conference with election commissions of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, live broadcasts from polling stations, statements of representatives of public authorities, public organizations and expert community will take place in the Information Center as well.

Applications for accreditation are accepted from Russian and foreign mass media.

To receive accreditation, representatives of the Russian media shall submit to the CEC of Russia the following documents:

a filled application;

a cover letter on the official letterhead of the organization. The letter shall contain indication that the application is for accreditation to the Information Center of the CEC of Russia during elections of the President of the Russian Federation on 18 March 2018. The letter shall be signed by the editor-in-chief and it shall be certified by a seal;

a copy of the certificate of registration of mass media;

a copy of the passport (pages with photos and place of registration);

a color photo 3x4 in electronic form in jpg.

The representatives of foreign mass media shall provide the following documents:

a filled application;

a cover letter on the official letterhead of the organization. The letter shall contain indication that the application is for accreditation to the Information Center of the CEC of Russia during elections of the President of the Russian Federation on 18 March 2018. The letter shall be signed by the editor-in-chief and it shall be certified by a seal;

a copy of the Accreditation Certificate issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation;

a copy of the passport (the page with the photo);

a color photo 3x4 in electronic form in jpg.

Documents are accepted in paper or electronic form (an excel document, scanned copies of documents).

Accreditation period:

From 12 February (09:00 Moscow time) to 10 March (18:00 Moscow time) 2018.

Accreditation certificates will be issued on 15 and 16 March 2018. On the election day 18 March 2018 certificates of accreditation will be not issued.

Please note that the accreditation certificate issued for work in the Information Center of the CEC of Russia is valid only for work in the Information Centre in accordance with its program 18 and 19 March 2018.

To attend polling stations and the establishment of the results of voting on the election day, another kind of accreditation is required in accordance with Resolution of the CEC of Russia No.129/1071-7 of 17 January 2018 “On the Procedure of Accreditation of Mass Media Representatives for Attendance of Polling Stations and the Establishment of Results of Voting, Determination of Results of Elections of the President of the Russian Federation in 2018”.
