Central Election Commission of Russian Federation held 169th meeting

On 20 July 2018 the 169th regular meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation was held.

In connection with the early termination of powers of a member of the Saint Petersburg Election Commission with decisive vote the CEC of Russia decided to suggest that the Governor of St. Petersburg appoint Viktor Minenko, Chief Federal inspector of St. Petersburg, as a new member of the Saint Petersburg Election Commission with decisive vote.

"The level of experience, education and professional qualification of Viktor Alexandrovich allows us to hope that this appointment will give a new impetus and a new direction to the work of St. Petersburg Election Commission," said Nikolay Bulev, the Deputy Chairperson of the CEC of Russia.

Ella Pamfilova, the Chairperson of the CEC of Russia, congratulated the candidate and emphasized that the CEC of Russia is ready for serious joint work to resolve the existing issues in the electoral system of St. Petersburg.
