Central Election Commission of Russian Federation held 188th meeting

On 7 November 2018 the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation held its 188th regular meeting.

On the appointment of the member of Election Commission of the Republic of Khakassia with the right of decisive vote

The CEC of Russia decided to appoint Oksana Buzunova a member of the Election Commission of the Republic of Khakassia with the right of decisive vote. Mrs. Buzunova is a youth specialist of Khakass regional branch of political party “Communist Party of the Russian Federation.”

On the distribution of duties of members of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation in the fields of its activity

“We are making changes to the resolution of the CEC of Russia related to the distribution of duties of the members of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation,” said Deputy Chairperson of the CEC of Russia Nikolay Bulaev. “Changes were made to the provision related to the organization of international cooperation. We specified: the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation coordinates all international activities. Interaction in all areas of international cooperation is assigned to the member of the CEC of Russia Nikolay Levichev.”

Nikolay Bulaev also noted that the resolution includes a paragraph that provides for monitoring and analysis of the legislation of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation on elections and referendums for compliance with Federal legislation. This work will be coordinated by a member of the CEC of Russia Evgenia Orlova.

The CEC of Russia decided to amend the resolution “On the distribution of duties of the members of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation in the fields of its activities.”

On the modification of the resolution of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation

According to Nikolay Bulaev, the decision on the interaction of the members of the CEC of Russia with state structures of regions should be updated taking into account the appointment of Evgenia Orlova a member of the CEC of Russia. The new member of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation will interact with subjects previously supervised by Vasily Likhachev. These are the Republic of Mordovia, Perm region, Novgorod, Omsk, Penza, Rostov and Samara regions.

The CEC of Russia decided to amend the resolution of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation “On interaction of the members of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation with public authorities of subjects of the Russian Federation, local authorities on issues related to the preparation and conduct of elections and referendums, interaction with election commissions of subjects of the Russian Federation.”
