On 9 August 2019 the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation held its 218th regular meeting.
Opening the meeting, the Chairperson of the CEC of Russia Ella Pamfilova made a statement in which she noted: "In the context of the current information agenda, many procedures of electoral practice are questioned. But these doubts are not based on facts, but only on the assumptions and mistrust expressed by a group of stakeholders."
The Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation stressed that all complaints received by the CEC of Russia were considered in detail.
"The staff of the CEC of Russia and members of the Commission all these days worked hard to find any arguments and facts that we could interpret and interpreted in favor of the candidates who filed complaints. We honestly and conscientiously examined each complaint and continue this work. All those who doubt and all those who have questions about the work of the CEC of Russia on consideration of complaints are welcome to participate in an open dialogue with us, to look into the details of the process, to discuss the problems, but not to fall in the hands of political situation," said Ella Pamfilova.
