On 15 July 2020 the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation held its 253rd regular meeting.
On the election campaigns scheduled for September 13, 2020
Ella Pamfilova, Chairman of the CEC of Russia, noted that at the moment nine political parties have notified the CEC of Russia about their participation in the by-elections of deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the seventh convocation.
"Six political parties submitted documents to the CEC of Russia to certify the lists of candidates. At the moment, political parties have nominated 19 candidates, 3 candidates have submitted documents to the district election commissions in the order of self-nomination, " Ella Pamfilova specified.
The head of the Commission reminded that in 14 regions of the Russian Federation, the deadline for nominating candidates for the election of senior officials has already been completed. In 4 more regions, the nomination continues.
The head of the Central election Commission informed that at the election of deputies of legislative (representative) bodies of the regions of the Russian Federation the nomination of candidates in 4 out of 11 regions has completed.
On the safety of personal data during remote electronic voting
Ella Pamfilova noted that some media reports about the leak of passport data of participants in remote electronic voting in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod region do not correspond to reality.
«If we talk about an autonomous application for the precinct commission, it contained only a coded sequence of characters obtained as a result of converting the series and numbers of citizens ' passports. The specified service didn't contain any data of citizens, especially personal data of participants of voting, − the head of the Commission emphasized.
