On 3 November 2020, the Russian Center for Training in Electoral Technologies at the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation summed up the results of the application stage of the All-Russia competition "Atmosphere".
A total of 1914 applications were submitted for the competition. The largest number were for the nomination "Scientific Front" (research work on electoral law) - 43%. Applications for other nominations were distributed as follows: "Creative Cyclone" (informing and popularizing elections) - 31%, "School Heat" (educational and methodological support of educational programs of basic general, secondary general and secondary vocational education) - 17%, "Digital Wave" (Development of the election procedure based on modern IT technologies) - 4%, "Student element"(educational and methodological support of educational programs of higher education) - 3%,"Method station"(training of personnel of election commissions) - 2%.
Participants from St.Petersburg were most active - they submitted 12% of applications. 6% were received from the Sverdlovsk and Rostov regions, from the Republic of Tatarstan and the city of Moscow - 5% each of the total number of applications filed.
The next stage of the competition - acceptance of entries and documents - will last until December 1, 2020. After that, the Working Group will start selecting works that meet the requirements of the competition.
The All-Russian competition among students, graduate students and young teachers on electoral law and the electoral process "Atmosphere" is held by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation jointly with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, federal and regional bodies of state authority, election commissions of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the Federal Government Institution "Russian Center for Training in Electoral Technologies at the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation", the non-profit organization "Russian Foundation for Free Elections", educational organizations of professional and higher education.
