Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the head of the Central Election Commission of Russia Ella Pamfilova



On 6 November 2020, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin met with the Chairperson of the CEC of Russia Ella Pamfilova.

Ella Pamfilova informed the President about some results of the September elections. The Head of the CEC of Russia spoke about the work of election commissions in the difficult sanitary and epidemiological situation, about the statistics of representation in the elected organs and about the experience of organizing multi-day voting. The Chairperson of the Commission shared plans for the new electoral cycle: among the main tasks are creation of a new digital platform for participants in the electoral process and improvement of electoral procedures in order to increase the level of confidence in the elections.

Vladimir Putin thanked Ella Pamfilova and employees of the electoral system at all levels for their good work and noted that Russian election organizers always strive to increase speed of obtaining results and reliability of the results of expression of citizens' will.
