On 10 February 2021 the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation held its 283rd regular meeting.
Chairperson of the CEC of Russia Ella Pamfilova thanked Irina Velikanova, General Director of the State Central Museum of Modern History of Russia, and Valeria Kagramanova, Head of conservation of the Museum, for their cooperation in preparing the exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the first elections to the Supreme Council of the USSR after the Great Patriotic War, which took place on 10 February 1946.
"Please accept the most heartfelt words of gratitude for your concern, selfless devotion and colossal research work," said Ella Pamfilova. "Thanks to the fruitful cooperation with the State Central Museum of Modern History of Russia, which supported our idea, a unique exhibition was placed in the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation. I told the President of the Russian Federation about this project and gave him a photo album about the exhibition. About 60 thousand users viewed the exhibition materials on social networks alone."
The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation donated to the museum the original stamp of the precinct election commission of 1946, which was preserved by the staff of the Election Commission of the Pskov Region. The management of the museum was awarded certificates of honor by the CEC of Russia.
On the remote electronic voting
Ella Pamfilova said that a letter from the CEC of Russia was sent to the regions with a proposal to apply for participation in a pilot project on remote electronic voting. The decision on the participation of regions will be made after the all-Russian training on testing of the remote electronic voting in May this year. The pilot project is expected to be held in the city of Moscow and five regions of the Russian Federation.
On the training of participants of the electoral process
"Professional legal training of members of election commissions is a priority issue for the CEC of Russia," stressed Ella Pamfilova. "The Central Election Commission will use various training formats − both distance and in-person."
